Acme Built is a family-run Sydney building company specialising in home renovations, extensions and additions across the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Inner City.

We believe a successful renovation starts with clear planning, honest advice and strong communication. From the first conversation through to handover, you know what is happening, what comes next and who is managing your project.

We work closely with you to understand the details early and keep the build organised from the beginning. Every project is different, but our approach stays the same: care, transparency and attention to detail from start to finish.

What began with Mal working on the tools has grown into a family-run building company centred on honest advice, clear communication, and genuine care for every home we work on.

Meet the People Behind Acme Built

Acme Built is a family business, led by husband-and-wife team Mal and Cathriona. Together, they combine hands-on building experience with the organisation, communication and attention to detail needed to keep every project moving.

Malcolm Erceg

Director | Builder

Mal started his career as a carpenter, learning the trade on-site and developing a strong understanding of how homes should be built.

After years working on the tools and managing projects, he started Acme Built with a simple goal, to do things properly from start to finish.

Today, Mal leads our projects and works closely with clients, designers and trades to bring each home to life.

Outside of work, Mal loves spending time with his family, fishing and camping.

Cathriona Flanagan

Marketing & Administration

Cathriona manages the organisation behind Acme Built, overseeing administration, accounts, marketing and client communication.

With a background in business, marketing and design, she brings both organisation and a creative eye to the company.

Cathriona works behind the scenes to help keep projects, communication and the day-to-day business running smoothly.

Together, Mal and Cathriona have built Acme Built around family, honest communication and genuinely caring about the homes they build.
